The 6922 will do good for an htpc setup. If you're looking to do feed hunting and more advanced things with your card there are imo better cards out there. The sky star 2 express hd is about the same price, maybe a little more. And is a much better cards for blind scan, spectrum scan, iq plots...

Yes that's true. Lots of people are doing it already too, just no businesses selling an already finished product. An rpi2 is about $40 and a TBS 5980 is about $80. There you have a great setup. UDL

How long does it take todo a spectrum scan? Its too bad it doesnt show the signal strength in dbm and quality in db, as % mean nothing :( UDL

That's extremely low. I understand with snow. But is it that common of an issue to warrant a new receiver? RF signal can be amplified. Snr can't, that's more of an issue to most people. A bigger dish solves that problem, having a tuner that can lock at -87dbm won't help you there. UDL

Dreambox is a company, their receivers (most) run enigma2 (enigma v2). enigma is an open source software frontend. Many other box's run enigma or can run enigma. Because its open source there are many forks (you take the code and change it, this is called a fork). OpenPLi, enigma2pc and others. UDL

Some of those are obvious points, if anyone released afta receiver now days that didn't support mpeg 4 or dvb-s2 it would be a joke. Hardware blindscan is pretty much the only blindscan else it's not really usable blindscan. UDL
