    Openbox s9 open box help.

you can edit the list with the remote using the various colored buttons. From the amount of programming left it wouldn't take long. I do that with euro firmware I play with,I just edit in 72w.

GEOSATpro 'moving dish' on the micro hd when the dish doesn't have to move.

one would think there would be different ALI SDK's depending on the target processor,ie m3602 vs m3601 or m3606

GEOSATpro 'moving dish' on the micro hd when the dish doesn't have to move.

they claim it's a flaw with the ali processor, altho real old openbox s9 firmware didn't have the problem.

Wish list: If you could design the PERFECT low-cost FTA receiver, what would it include?

built-in dvd burner, instead of playing with usb drives all the time for storage

    X2 premium

true fta doesn't need support,it should work right out of the box. If it doesn't,the customer is being used as a beta tester. I would rather pay $54 for a $17 china box than $150 for a $17 china box.

Openbox S9 vs SkyBox F3 Software

comparing apples to oranges. the receivers use 2 different processors and the firmware isn't interchangeable. 99% of the people that kill their receiver did it by loading a sat/channel list from unknown sources. The .dbs file is actually a .udf file plus the default database for the...

Fortec Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra - Original Firmware

jtagging definitely calls for a vintage pc running win2k or xp. Don't forget, jkeys was written over 12 years ago. For fta receivers I always preferred programs like skymax_up or jtag_up,which were actually written for fta receivers. Modern usb devices like the usbjtagnt should be able to do it...

    X2 and DIseq1.2 Problem "redux"

america is just a small fraction of the receiver market,so I don't think they are going to do too much catering. If you compare with the openbox s9 or s10 those receivers only had 9 months of support. We are already past the 1 year mark with the x2 so you have to wonder how much longer they are...

    X2 and DIseq1.2 Problem "redux"

don't be fooled by new file dates, they are famous for uploading old firmware there days or weeks after it is released. the 9-28 and 10-20 uploads are actually the old 9-24 firmware,so those were a tease. I went back to using the supermax 5000 july 5th stuff.

    X2 and DIseq1.2 Problem "redux"

they use the ftp site as a dump for beta firmware, the 8meg full files usually just have hacker stuff in the private area of flash that wouldn't be in the usual 4meg dumps. The 8meg versions usually disappear fast, sometimes in a few hours.

    X2 and DIseq1.2 Problem "redux"

the ftp site has an 8meg file that has a system date of 9-24 but it was uploaded on 10-20 so seems fresher

    X2 and DIseq1.2 Problem "redux"

i don't even want to see that word. it's titanium 17000 firmware that killed my x2 for 4 months.
