Possible to cancel Shaw Direct Installation?

I have had my 630 for about a month and a half. Works great! I wish I could group recordings (same show, different episode) in folders, but other than that I don't have any complaints. Not a complaint, actually. Just a suggestion for better organization of the PVR recordings.

Last place I would have looked. Thanks, Jables.

    Shaw PVR630 Static IP?

Okay. Can you share how you did it? I have a unique setup that requires a static IP on that device. Thanks!

    Shaw PVR630 Static IP?

Is it possible to set a static IP on the Shaw 630 PVR receiver? I've searched around and can't seem to find that info. Thanks.

    Activating a 600 Receiver

Yep. New LNB here. Tuned to 252 until I had authorization, then to 299 to populate the guide.

    Shaw Direct ethernet port

Thanks for the tip on PureVPN, bobvick. I agree, the speed on the Canadian servers is a bit slow at time with HMA. Once things settle down, I'll have to try PureVPN and compare. Sounds like it would just be a matter of changing a few quick settings on my dd-wrt router.

    Shaw Direct ethernet port

I've been using hidemyass for almost a year. Works great. I have a dd-wrt router that's setup as my VPN router. Works like a charm and I can also connect my wireless devices to it if I want to stream Canadian programming. Posted Via The SatelliteGuys Reader App!

    Shaw DSR630 is ordered!

Anyone know if there's a button that allows me to delete a recording from the list of recordings without selecting it, then choosing to delete? I tried the red A button. Posted Via The SatelliteGuys Reader App!

    Shaw DSR630 is ordered!

You are correct. Once activated, everything came to life. It works great and I'm getting excellent signal. I'll post more after I've had time to fiddle around with it a little. But I love it so far. Big thanks to Raj and Philippe at Kusat for all of their help. Posted Via The SatelliteGuys...

Unfortunately I can't even tune to those lower channels. I guess the receiver doesn't have a map that includes those. Posted Via The SatelliteGuys Reader App!

Good info. I'll be sure and mention it, thanks. That's why I posted that screenshot. Figured someone would have something interesting like that to share. Here's the LNB is have... If there's a free channel up there, I'm not getting it. My guess is that's it's a brand new receiver and the...

Here are a few shots of the old Winegard 10' C/Ku dish, since I'm showing off the growing farm.

As promised, here are some pics. Here's the dish by itself. Pretty good for installing in the dark, eh? Here's the side view. Here's a front view with the tower in the foreground. For a brief moment, I panicked, hoping I hadn't mounted the dish where the tower was in the line of sight...

That one gives me a no signal warning, I think bc I haven't yet downloaded a proper channel map.

    Shaw DSR630 is ordered!

Well, the system is setup. There was a bit of a fiasco with the delivery, though. Long story short, I missed the UPS truck, which led to a four-hour adventure at the UPS depot. None of this was UPS's fault, though and they were very accommodating in getting me my packages. Thank you UPS...

    Shaw DSR630 is ordered!

It definitely does. But it hasn't leaked a drop, yet, so we're holding off. And yes, I knocked on wood after I typed that. I think it measured 4x4x2, or something like that. Yes, the c-band dish is what I currently use to get CTV, and lots of other FTA. I have an old Primestar dish in the...

    Shaw DSR630 is ordered!

Here you can see my DirecTV dish in the background and my OTA antenna tower in the foreground. I mounted the little grey junction box to the tower leg to contain the splices I had to make so that I could extend the cables that will connect to the Shaw dish. I don't want any water getting in to...

Spoke with Raj today at Kusat. He was very helpful, talking all of the time necessary to answer my questions and complete my order. I can't wait to get my Shaw Direct PVR system and get it setup. Some of you may have seen where I already installed the dish mount on my roof. That should speed...

    Diplex filter on Shaw feedline?

Well, that's too bad. I figured if I had to take a package, it would be that one (the least expensive). Like I said, I don't want the package at all, just that one bundle. Hate paying for channels I don't ever plan to watch. C'mon CRTC and make those changes so I don't have to waste my money. :-)

    Diplex filter on Shaw feedline?

Yeah, good point. I don't really have the option of running a fourth coax, though. I can forego the OTA antenna, if necessary. One other question. I know this is unrelated, but I don't want to start another thread. All I'm really after are the networks that can be had in the timeshift...
