Do you think that it could be related to diurnal changes in the ionosphere? That's the part of the atmosphere that refracts AM radio waves at night. I have no idea if it has any affect on DBS signals.

I am happy to hear that! Any idea how large of a dish I would need? I moved last year and gave away my 90cm dish. All I have now is an 18" one. Before August 2004, I could get all transponders in the mid to upper 70s using an 18" dish.
