Philo Tv debuts 37 channel streaming package for $16 a month

No program guide to speak of yet on the Roku. After the trial we promptly dropped it. Wife wanted Hallmark Channel too. I emailed Philo and told them of the above issues and said we might try again down the road

Is Sling TV in most general cases stable?

Had Sling since they started a couple of years ago. Works fine on our Roku 3 with 20/2 mbps internet

Lots of SlingTV News including its First PPV Event!

Well looks like I'm grandfathered in on yet another package. I hope I never need to make a change or this will cost me more $$. Did we really need another $ 5.00 package though.

    Cord cutting time

Dee, I know what you mean it sucks getting older lol. I've got my dishes still setup but haven't messed with them in probably two years until the other day. The motor on my KU dish has died again. That's probably the 5th SG2100 motor. The Cband dish, the 8 footer, was still pretty much lined up...

    Cord cutting time

I've heard good and bad about Spectrum. So far my speed went from 15Mbps to 23 MBPS and still at $59

    Cord cutting time

Dee, I remember when you first starting setting up all your dishes for FTA. You think that was a fun learning curve lol, all this streaming stuff and how to get it, is loads of work and fun too! We've had Sling for two years and it works for us. We don't watch a lot of Tv. We tried Vue on the...

Sling TV expands access to its Cloud DVR

I was in on the Sling DVR beta on our Roku 3. Looks like we are grandfathered in unless we stop their service. So far we keep the 100 hours and its free. I can't see paying $ 5.00 for only 50 hours

    Cord cutting time

I would try a trial of Sling and PS Vue and go from there. We've had Vue since it started and no real issues on a Roku 3. The Dvr on Sling is 50 hours and is $5 more. It's not available on Roku yet. I was in the beta and it worked well for us. The guide etc...for PS Vue on the Roku was terrible...

Sling / DTV Now / Vue

Using Sling since it started and its gotten better. No issues with buffering etc on the Roku 3 with 20/2 mbps internet. I'm in on the Dvr beta and it seems to work good. We've not recorded a lot of stuff only a few shows but it worked ok.

Time to say goodby to Sling

Old and slow so I just saw the original post lol. I've had very few issues with Sling on our Roku 3 with 20/2 mbps internet. In the beginning the buffering was awful. I'm in on the beta for the Dvr and so far no issues with that either.

SLING TV Begins Cloud DVR Beta

I was added to the beta program about 10 days ago. I guess they're slowly adding more users before going public with it. Haven't had much of a chance to use it yet.

    3 more channels added

None of those 3 channels does anything for anyone in our house lol. The kids channel might be ok if you've got children at home. Hopefully a few more good channels by years end....

Sling Orange adding E!, FX, and USA?

We've had a choice of Sling Orange or Sling Blue packages for quite a while....this isn't something new this week though. Both for $40 with some duplicate channels

    The PlayStation Vue Thread

The interface on Roku with Vue is awful. We had it 3 days dropped Vue and decided to stick with Sling. A decent program guide is badly needed to start with. I messed with it 2 nights and thought my wife will never sort through this mess to watch TV lol. No easy way to find "All Channels" or...

Sling TV Tests Fox-Anchored Multi-Stream Service

But once Vue adds local channels in your area the price goes up $10 and you can't opt out. I thought about Vue but at $39 instead of $29 I'm not so sure. I don't need or want local channels that's why I have a CM4228 with 66 OTA channels lol

Sling TV Tests Fox-Anchored Multi-Stream Service

Well Sling had better hurry fast because if Vue comes to the Roku box soon, I'll say Sling it was nice knowing ya with your 12 or 20 $5.00 add on packages
  18. Blindowl1234

Streaming service Sling TV will add MTV, Comedy Central, Nick Jr & more, following Viacom deal

These $ 5 things are starting to add up....If Vue comes to Roku I'll drop Sling asap

Sling TV Tests Fox-Anchored Multi-Stream Service

Ok I'm confused it looks like my $20-25 package with Sling as I have it would be $40 and I lose some channels to gain Fox and Nat Geo? That's a mess

    Sony Vue and Sling TV

If Vue becomes available on Roku boxes etc... soon, then you can pretty much count Sling as dead. I'd switch today if it was on Roku. Be aware though that with Vue when they add the locals it's gonna cost $10 more. From what Vue told me in a chat you're stuck with the locals and paying for...

    The PlayStation Vue Thread

I just spoke to Vue in their chat I think I'm going to hold off since I've got 66 channels OTA and don't want to pay an additional $10 eventually. I don't know though even at $39 a month or so it beats Sling which we've got now and hate. I'm just worried that like a typical cable they get you...

    Sling TV Introduces Local Now

It's at least an Ok channel when compared to Newsy and Viceland which they recently gave us lol
  23. Blindowl1234

    Vice TV absolutely sucks

There were other alternatives that Sling for instance could've replaced H2 with. A&E also has C&I (Crimes Investigation) & Military History channel too
  24. Blindowl1234

    Vice TV absolutely sucks

And people on social media are blasting A&E, Sling, and other providers with their dissatisfaction about Viceland too. Well if the History channel still showed history type programs we'd never have needed H2 to begin with. Now we've got nothing.
