Amazon shutting down it's FreeVee service?

I don't understand why Amazon would drop Freebee as it is a great way for people to be introduced to Amazon Prime.

    How things have changed

D Dish & Cable are already planning (and have in some cases) switched to streaming. They see the handwriting on the wall probably more than we see it. Direct TV and well as Spectrum are moving to streaming. Direct (AT&T) said there are no more planned satellite launches. They are hoping that...

What Apps ask for a TV provider and Why ?

Depending on what you want. I have Sling after having Dish for nearly 25 years. I have Sling Blue and the adds on for only $61 a month. Being an old movie buff I have both FXM & TCM. After paying about $100 or more a month from Dish for years, this is better and we get locals OTA.

Email from Amazon about Prime Video

I mainly buy small items from Amazon, and often they are like used DVD's from 3rd party vendors that include shipping with their items. On occasion I buy a larger item, but they are over $35. So for me spending $140 a year, it is not worth it. I first signed up with Prime some years back when it...

Email from Amazon about Prime Video

I use Prime, but I can just put orders together to make the $35 for free shipping. It isn't worth the $139 and now another $36 a year to not get ads? Forget it. When I got Prime a few years ago it is well under $100.

More Cable Channels are about to end due to cord cutting

I am finding channels like The FBI, Streets of SF, Perry Mason, Hawaii Five O, Ironsides, etc are free and enjoyable to watch. They are all free.

More Cable Channels are about to end due to cord cutting

All of those channels need to become "Fast Channels" that are free. Most have ads anyway.

Sling will not add to my Fire Stick guide

Tonight when I got home, I tried to update the Sling app to the Fire Stick. I went to Live TV as usual, clicked on the services to update. All worked out fine, except for Sling. The 600+ channels (Sling Blue+Free), will not add to the Fire TV guide tonight. I checked for an update, and the Fire...

    Spectrum goes all streaming

I have Spectrum for an internet provider. I have had Dish. I do have it on pause. I picked up Sling Blue and 7 add on packs for $61 a month. Far better than the Dish Flex Pack, many more channels I had lost inc FXM. I don't need to pay fees to Spectrum for their box. They should offer their...

Traditional Providers Losses, 3rd Quarter 2023 Edition

I just read quite the article on the future of pay tv in the U.S. With the loss of subs left and right, for the carriers to survive they will be forced to constantly increase prices. So the fewer there are, the more they will pay. I see not in the too distant future a time where many pay...

    I don't think I will either......

More Cable Channels are about to end due to cord cutting

Those cable channels need to join the roster of free channels and sell ad money rather than going away.

It seems to be back. I am watching Freebee again.

Freevee TV will not update or load on Firestick

Thanks. I am glad it was not me. The Fire Cube and the two Fire sticks are in the same boat, but on the Roku the app still works. As far as deleting the app and re-installing it, I cannot do that as the app seems to be part of the Fire Stick like Amazon photos, etc. At least I have not figured...

Freevee TV will not update or load on Firestick

Since yesterday, I have been unable to launch or update FreeVee TV on any of my Firesticks. I first thought it was a glitch in the cube, so I checked out two other Firesticks and the same issue. No update on channels or the channel will not load. I get some error message. I checked on the Roku...

More Cable Channels are about to end due to cord cutting

Well, these channels can go to a free version with streaming like so many have done to sell adverts. At least some might survive.

    MeTV+ coming soon to Frndly

METV+ has changed their schedule 9/1. Our local OTA of METV+ matches the Frndly TV version. Too bad they took several off like Burke's Law. But I have a ton on the HDD.

    MeTV+ coming soon to Frndly

I have the majority on 77SS, Hawaiian Eye, Surfside 6, The FBI on burned DVDs (480i) from years ago. I had some going back 30-40 years ago even on Beta Tape. WB also had a good streaming service for a number of years. I wish they still had it.

    MeTV+ coming soon to Frndly

I don't know how many translators/LPTV's that Weigel has, but there must be quite a few. I was surprised to get one for Astoria OR. They bought up one of the translator CPs (36) and put it on the air (5 KW ERP), later converted it to an LPTV.

    MeTV+ coming soon to Frndly

And also most of the LPTV and Weigel owned translators. We have one of the LPTV's that has it.

    MeTV+ coming soon to Frndly

I have had it OTA since the beginning, but the OTA guide on my TV does not go out farther than 8-10 hours. So I will finally have a good guide. Even Tablo & the Recast do not have guides for METV+.

Connecting my Plex account to the Free Stick Live guide

I recently did a Plex update on the Fire sticks & Cube, and since then I have been unable to tie the free Plex channels to my Fire Stick account. I have tried about everything I can think of. I must be missing something. I have deleted the Plex app, added it in again, re-signed in, changed the...

    Disney-Charter battle highlights bundling demise?

But as a consumer we have the choice to sub or not. Many programmers like Disney are losing their shirt of late and that is why they are going with big hikes.

    Disney-Charter battle highlights bundling demise?

This is going to be the future. Cable/satellite as we know it will be gone. The only way to sub to channels will be directly and the viewer will pay the going rate. Already streaming services like Paramount+, Disney+, etc have been going up. Most do not have the money to keep shelling out the...
