I've gotta have Comedy Central (Daily Show, South Park), Cartoon Network (Adult Swim) and Boomerang (for my husband) so we're switching over to digital cable on the 30th. I don't watch much network OTA, except for Fox (and only for Simpsons) which we get well with analog OTA.

I second the "yuck". I have no problems with competitive services in general, and I can see why the service is attractive to some, but when it starts cutting into the local digital spectrum... I didn't know they had gotten as far as L.A. yet.

Voom's my only service provider, though (for now still) I can also pull in a few analog OTA channels.

I'll look closer at the next ad I see, but I'm not sure (even though they mention SD) they make it clear that you can watch the service on any TV. On the other hand- there are those who think they are already getting HD because they have digital cable. The standard (non-HD) boxes.

1) Fix the install and billing issues. 2) Let people know you don't have to have an HDTV just yet to use the service, and that it will work with a standard TV (albeit lower quality, but still works). Many people are under the impression that they can't even get Voom unless they have an HDTV...

This might sound weird, but if/when Voom goes dark I'll probably be going analog OTA (don't watch much network HD) as it seems like it'll still be a while until the spectrum cutover or limited basic (some of the locals don't come in very well). I've already been with both of the cable companies...
