Similar problem here. Service person (I don't do 2 story roofs anymore) found the original installer hadn't tightened down the LNB which would move in the wind and there went the sat lock. Still enjoying HDTV under mostly cloudy but rainless Seattle skies, Gill

That CSR gave you a bunch of crap. VOOM routinely sends service people out to get the sat siganl right. The antenna should have been placed it the right place the first time. Call back and nicely demand to talk to a supervisor. Or, hopefully, TYORK can get you pointed in the right...

"crash331", if you are getting an 86 sat siganal without... rain (like here in Seattle) and you have no obstructions such as trees, buildings, etc. then something is seriously wrong. You should be getting a 98-99 signal with your 24" antenna. Sounds like a misaimed antenna or a signal loss...

Mike, we'll keep our fingers crossed for you but in the... meantime make sure to call Installs, Inc. who were able to track the antenna and even offered to give us the tracking #. Installers don't get paid very much for a return visit but should still do the job and do it right...

"bookwalk", we had trouble with our OTAs in wind (and we don't get wind like you do). The wind would move the antenna just slightly and we'd lose several stations. I'm with TYORK that your OTA should not be touching the sat dish. You can have the OTA antenna moved off of the sat antenna pole...
