I am in the market for a new 55" TV. As some of you know my LG OLED is full of burn-in so I am thinking of switching to LED or QLED. Can any fellow SatGuy members share with me your opinion of the Samsung QLED TVs compared to LED TVs? Thanks for any help.

LOL, I ask the Geek Squad guy about that and he says even the newest extended warranties still covers burn in. Yep on the one time fix and if I wanted the extended warranty on the next TV, will have to purchase it.

No, it appeared to me and the Geek Squad guy that the bottom horizontal black bar was a local St Louis show that I watch everyday called Great Day St Louis.

BB Geek Squad technician says burn in issue and they are going to replace the TV. He says the BB extended warranties still cover burn in issues. So I would say a BB extended warranty is what you might consider getting if you purchase an OLED.

Thanks beavs2112. That is exactly what the BB Geek Squad guy did. Went to a You Tube solid red color movie to troubleshoot the burn in issue.

Thanks harshness. This burn in is really noticeable with a red screen. I stopped a program in a red section and took the attached pics. It shows the burn in a little better. Upper left corner definitely says dish. Right hand side is three OLED mute symbols without the little speaker in it...

Is there a way to make the TV screen one color? I am looking for all yellow or purple. It seems like there is a way to make it all white but forgot where I read about it long time ago.

We never watch ESPN. I don't know of anything we watch that has a bottom horizontal bar at the bottom. I hear ya. Very unacceptable to have retention or burn in this easily.

Well, the wife sees more. She sees horizontal wide bar along the bottom. Also on the right side she sees like the mute symbol but no little speaker in it.

Well, finally got thru. Described the issue to the Geek Squad rep. Appointment is Tuesday 12-4 PM. Will see what happens and report back.
