Yeah, nudging people to pay $1 more for the full Game Pass catalog. Primary difference is they aren't giving you games every month and instead just giving you access to a selection of titles at the Core subscription and then the full Game Pass library at Console / PC / Ultimate tiers.

Sounds like you misunderstood almost everything you saw. The permissions bit sounds like the standard Android permissions popup but rephrased. Ubisoft+ is a great subscription, but is not required to play anything you don't already own (and not sure it provides any benefits to Quest users...

Unless you have an atypical setup all of your saves are in the cloud, and your purchases are tied to the account that acquired it. Once all of this is resolved you'll just need to redownload games on drives that were formatted. When you launch some games it may take a moment to sync saves.

It's more than Gold vs Plus though. It's the entire ecosystem play. Sony is putting their entire mobile and PS3 generation behind them while MS is enhancing and providing ways for people to continue (or experience for the first time) playing many of their most popular games - indefinitely...

Yeah, the contrast in approaches to their platforms / ecosystems has never been more clear than this week. MS provides graphic options and is One X enhancing back catalog titles while Sony announces the last bits of support for multiple platforms. I wonder how Playstation Now is doing.

I own all of those so it's harder for me to test that kind of thing ;) I think you get 20% off anything that's in the Game Pass catalog, that basically brings the Best Buy Gamer program to digital if that is still a thing when these AAA titles hit Game Pass. Not super familiar with it.

Yeah, I haven't had a need for Game Pass as much as I liked the idea of it already. If they support Play Anywhere (and ReCore does) then could even see a lot of PC gamers signing up.
