I am looking for a home style antenna that I would put on a mast. I would aim it by turning the mast. I am thinking along the line of small channel master METROtenna 40. I have the big brother of this one and it works great.

I am looking for an antenna to replace the one that is on my travel trailer while camping. This will be mounted on an antenna pole.

Doesn't channels DVR require a computer to schedule and the recordings are on the computer itself? If so how do they connect to each other and to the TV? I have wifi service, but not ethernet service to my TV.

Today was a good day for testing since I aimed the antenna toward the Joplin, MO towers. With the heavy rain all of the Dish local channels were off and all of my OTA channels were up and running with no pixilating.

I have done several tests during rain, but I have not had a storm yet to check since I aimed the antena toward the Joplin, MO towers. There are less trees close up this way than being aimed at the Arkansas towers.

It also requires either an Iphone or Ipad which I have neither. I am using the signal meter with the Hopper 3 which is all I have found.

I removed the CM7777 and did a rescan. The rescan dropped a few (Fox & ABC) channels from Arkansas, but picked up these channels from Missouri. I may try turning the antenna a 180 degrees to see what happens.

Thanks I tweaked it a short while ago as much as I could. I just thought maybe another antenna or amp may work better. I don't care about the Joplin stations or the lone VHF station.

I asked this a while ago, but here it comes again. I cannot raise a mast above my roof peak, but I can raise it 6' to 10 ' higher than what it is now at 7' above my fascia and 15' above the ground elevation. I also cannot cut the thousands of trees down. I would like to get a little better...

Neither cutting the trees or raising the antenna 30 to 40 feet above my roof peak are options I can do. I was hoping to just get a better antenna and maybe a router for it.

I have no problem with only one direction which is toward the channels in Arkansas and not Missouri. I was surprised when it picked up the channels from Missouri.

I got my mast and antenna installed today and I am picking up all of the local channels from Rogers, Fayettteville/Ft. Smith and Joplin. The CBS station in Ft. Smith is the weakest of them all. I even picked up the PBS station (13-1/9).

I got my antenna today and just for kicks I set it up on my deck rail. I aimed it toward the Fayetteville/Ft. Smith stations and I picked up the Rogers/Eureka Springs (Fox/NBC) stations and the ABC station from Joplin. I do have it aimed the correct way.

The only VHF channel is a PBS that I do not watch. This will not be my main go-to for watching TV, but for having something on if I loose channels due to storms.

I have decided to go with the same setup I had at the last two houses. It worked great then even in the attics and the towers in different locations. It is the CM4228 paired with a CM7777.
