    PreAmp Location Question

I mounted my 7777 on the mast. I think that was the instructions. As close to the antenna as possible is always the best bet.

    Requesting antenna recommendation

Sounds like you may need a rotor on your antenna. A pre-amp amplify's the single from your antenna. I installed a CM4228 without a pre-amp and it did very well but when I installed the CM7777 pre-amp I picked up about four new stations. My next step is to add a rotor so I can pick up...

Receive OTA HD & C Band HD

A really nice and powerful UHF antenna is a CM4228. Although it is billed as a UHF only antenna it will pick up VHF channels eight on up perfectly. I use the CM4228 and pick up channels over sixty miles away. Not really that costly, fifty to seventy bucks but well worth the money. I live...

    outdoor antenna selection?

Best bet is a CM4228, it is UHF only, but that is where most HD is, only but will pull in channel eight on up. It is a bit large, something like 20" wide and 30" tall. Not sure of the size, don't feel like going up on the roof to measure. It is one of the best you can buy, really pulls in long...

    Can I improve signal strength?

What kind of antenna do you have on the roof????????? I have a CM4228 with a CM7777 pre-amp on my roof and pull in stations sixty miles away with no problem. Only problem with a CM4228 is that it is a UHF antenna only, although it will pick up VHF station eight and above. I live south of...

Receive OTA HD & C Band HD

The HD-200 is a converter for people like me who have a BUD and 4DTV. It is the only way I know how to receive HD using a DSR-922 4DTV receiver. I wish someone would come up with some thing else. The HD-200 is lots of $$$$$$$$$$$

Receive OTA HD & C Band HD

I think the only way you can receive HD through the 922 is with a HDD-200. It looks like you will have to run another line of RG6 cable from an in-door or out-door TV antenna to a OTA conversion box then to the TV. A lot of ex-directtv or dishnet boxes will work like the Samsung TS360 among...

Buying a HDTV - Need help

Need your location to help, really depends on where you are located and where the single is coming from. One of the best HD antenna's is the CM4228. It is a UHF antenna but will pick up VHF stations from channel eight on up.

    Mitsubishi HD

Sounds like you have the same problem that I had with my 57 inch Sony. I bought it before they had a HD tuner installed. I bought a Motorola converter box and ran a lead from my outside antenna, a CM4228, to the converter box then to the TV. You can do the same thing cheaper now by buying...

    Do I need a preamp?

I have a CM4228 antenna and received excellent results. I installed a CM7777 pre-amp and picked up more stations and my quality went up. I am only about 45 miles from the stations but I am also picking up stations over 60 miles away with my pre-amp.

    HD TV Advice:

Let your wallet be your guide. They are all good sets. When I was looking the salesman said "it's just as good as a Sony". I bought the Sony. I have a Sony rear projection 57 inch in the rec-room and a 32 nch Sony LCD in the bedroom, both are outstanding. I bought a 15 inch Magnavox for my...

    OTA Antenna Installation Help

If all else fails buy a CM4228 antenna and a CM7777 pre amp. This antenna is for UHF only but mine picks up from channel 8 on up. I live about forty miles south of Richmond and pick up all HD perfectly. I have no problem picking up stations sixty miles away.

    Is HD TV really needed?

Nahh the kitchen is 12'X10' and yes HD does make a difference. No problem seeing anything, just had my eyes tested 20/15 not bad for 66 years old. I guess regular TV is going the way of the CRT, simply obsolete technology. Some thing like black and white TV. I guess that is not a good...

Can you see the difference on a 15" screen??? Oh Yes!!!! big difference. You should see the smile on my wifes face when she is watching her soaps in HD. Makes a big difference to her. Me I watch satellite TV on my BUD, the digital looks almost like HD but not quite there. Yes ther is a BIG...

If Analog is good, will Digital be as well

I find my digital to be a lot better than analog and I pick up more stations. There are really just 4 analog stations that I receive but I receive 14 digital. Some are like 6.1, 6.2, 6.3 but others are just new stations that I did not receive before.

    HDTV Tuners

I have the hisense HD box. I bought it new off of ebay new for $69 plus free del. It does a nice job of receiving the singles but the box reduces the volume of the TV, I have to turn the volume of both the TV and the HD box on full just to hear it. The TV with out the box is fine, lots of volume.

Using / Re-setting the Samsung SIR-TS360 without an access card

Max, Thanks for the good info. Thinking about buying one. How is the sound volume on the TS360???????? I have a Hisense hooked up to my TV and the sound on HD is very low with both the TV and the box turned to full volume. The TV with out the box is very loud.

    OTA indoor antenna inquiry

Take it back and buy a CM4228. It's mounted outside. I live about forty miles south of Richmond VA and pick up HD over sixty miles away using a CM4228. If I had a rotor I could pick up NC. Best purchase that I have ever made.

    OTA Reccomendations

Just put up a CM4228 I'm about 45 miles from Richmond VA and the single is excellent. The HD is excellent. I would buy the CM4228 again in a heart beat. Bought it off of ebay, pretty good price. Next just for kicks I think I am going to buy the 7777 preamp. Really don't need it but what the hey.
