More new diginet coming in January 1st 2024

I noticed that the article says it will be available in 80% of the country on launch. Is there any indication that they will be available in Chicago?

True Real TV network going off the air in late March...

Wow - they just launched that channel 2 years ago and already are giving up on it for the Jewelry Television.

Are CBS, NBC, and ABC in decline?

There have been so many changes. I do remember the days of the Saturday morning cartoons on CBS, ABC, NBC, and FOX and flipping between the channels to see the ones I wanted. Then there was the Disney Afternoon - being in Chicago it was on WGN - not sure if it was on any of the big 4 networks...

    2021-22 Syndication Update

I don't know - it would make sense to have it at 8:30 as well. I would prefer that! I never got into Last Man Standing like I did Home Improvement.

    2021-22 Syndication Update

Thanks for posting that! It says that WGN will be having it at 8pm, which means Last Man Standing will no longer be on during it's current timeslot.

    2021-22 Syndication Update

This doesn't surprise me one bit to throw themselves into the mix. NBC, ABC, FOX and WGN all have 4pm newscasts. CBS was the one that started at 5. My guess is Judge Judy would end up on WCIU. It would be a great fit at WCIU - a quick scan and WCIU has 8 hours of court/justice type shows...

I am waiting for the day that the Price is Right is back with a full studio audience.

    2021-22 Syndication Update

If Two and a Half men is starting a new cycle, does that mean it won't be on WGN anymore? And it would be replaced by something else (maybe Young Sheldon?) I can't see Young Sheldon being on at 11:30pm/midnight, which is when the two episodes of Two and a Half Men are airing right now. WGN...

    2021-22 Syndication Update

So that means WGN will have news from 4-10am, Daytime Chicago from 10am-11, WGN Afternoon News from 11-1pm. Rachel Ray would be either 1, 2, or 3pm before the afternoon news goes from 4-7pm.

    2021-22 Syndication Update

It would be great to see some of those shows leave WGN. I am interested to see what the fall lineup is on WGN. I don't know how much longer the syndication deals last for Blackish, Last Man Standing, The Golbergs, and Two and Half Men. Ever since they added the 3 hours of WGN Evening news a...

Meredith announced they put TV Stations for sale

It says in that article that Allen Media Group owns the Weather Channel??? I had no idea on that. I had in my mind that NBC or Comcast owned Weather channel.

Are Network OTA channels in Steep decline?

For me, I mainly watch network programming for sports - and mainly the NFL and College Football, but I will throw on the MLB, NBA, or golf that could be on. So in my main arena, I haven't seen that much of a change. However, I do agree with you from the sitcom side of things. I have turned on...

    2021-22 Syndication Update

Does this mean Young Sheldon is going to be on WGN in Chicago this fall? I would have to think that if it is on 90% of Nexstar Stations that WGN would be included on that list.

Nexstar launching Antenna TV spinoff network in September '21

I like this! I have really grown on LAFF TV, Antenna TV, and ME TV over the past year. This subchannel I really like! I am still waiting for the subchannel that has the TGIF lineup from ABC in the 80's and 90's on, or the 80's/90's cartoons that used to be on ABC, NBC, or CBS. I would love...

Addams Family coming to METV on May 3rd

At least the Flinstones are still on Sunday morning. I find it strange that ME TV has 3 episodes of the Flinstones then one Jetsons on Sunday - I would have thought it would have been two of each.

Ion Plus and Qubo to shut down

Thanks for pointing that out to me - I have the Jetsons on right now - and just like all the other cartoons, it looks like it is digitally restored and colors are very vivid.

Ion Plus and Qubo to shut down

Here in Chicago we get MeTV in HD OTA, and I have never seen some of these cartoons in such clarity before. These classic cartoons look so sharp with their colors and restoration that was done. At least I assume they were restored somehow. Some of them are the 4:3 aspect ratio with the black...

Ion Plus and Qubo to shut down

Same thing is true in Chicago - we now have LAFF, CourtTV, The Grio, StartTV, and a handful of others on two different channels. Even our main CBS channel, WBBM CBS2, is available as a subchannel on 48-3.

E.W. Scripps buys ION Media for $2.65 Billion

So does this mean that Discovery is essence owns ION now? Or is this Scripps different than the Scripps Discovery bought a handful of years ago?

#1 digitnet MeTV starting saturday morning cartoons back up in 2021

I always thought it was that ABC, CBS, and NBC found it cheaper and more people would watch news broadcasts Sat. morning.

Fox O&O Stations to Add Decades

I doesn't appear to be all FOX O&O though. Chicago is not on the list. Do the other markets listed in that article currently not have access to Decades so this is this just an expansion for markets without it? Or do some of those markets actually have a move from a CBS subchannel to FOX? I...
