I only have exp. with a Dish DVR. I take it with cable if I got my own DVR it won't work unless C-cast activates it. But, I asked a rep about having my own unit & she said C-cast won't let me use my own unit. Is that the way it is for everyone?? I would much rather not pay a rental fee of course.
