    free dish any advice?

I did this a few years ago with a high 12' mesh. Much better to stand on the ground to free rusty bolts rather than on a ladder.

Mounting a pole mast without concrete

In the late 80's, when I got my first used dish (A 6 foot mesh), My dad suggested welding a large truck rim on the end of a 3 or 4 inch pipe (I don't remember the pipe diameter) and burying it below the frost line. That worked well for many years.

    What has happened to 91

I do like the Disney stuff. I remember having bake sales in grade school to raise money to get a Disney movie we could watch just before summer vacation, A lot of the same movies BYU shows now.

need help aiming my new dish

Is this the Standard or Universal bsc621, mine is universal and I set the Lo to 10600 not 10750. Was also wondering about Diseqc 1.0 port setting, Port 1 for C and Port 2 for Ku. I'm not familiar with the orange bsc621 so my input may not apply.

    Rookie

89% Quality on the CW, I'm only getting 70% on my 6' solid Fortec with the MicroHD. I was recently given a 7.5' mesh dish, I guess its time to swap them out. Glad to see you got it working sathunt, maybe you can buy your wife a gbox or vbox for Valentines day, that will automate your dish mover...

    Openbox S9 and Movies?

I have been a Windows user since it was first introduced but recently switched to Linux Mint and I will never go back. My computer wouldn't run Avidemux very well so I installed Handbrake, I used it a lot in Windows. I just tried some new .avi files on my S9 and it won't play them but a few of...

    Openbox S9 and Movies?

My favorite conversion tool is Handbrake, It can convert most any video to .mp4 or .mkv, I just tried a few .flv files and they play on the S9 too.

    Openbox S9 and Movies?

I probably should mention I am using the mid August firmware release, I don't know if playback of these file types has always been available on the S9.

    Openbox S9 and Movies?

Some of the files I tried played, some didn't (a few only played the audio part of the movie or didn't play at all), probably my fault in the encoding process. I don't recall having the files in folders or not.

    Actuator on Elevation Bar

I agree, a perfectly plumb pole is ideal but a few years back I had a setup that was moved by frost, something like this might have gotten me by till warmer weather when I was able to redesign.:)

I would probably move the dish just to be safe, but did he do the survey or a professional, anyone can put stakes in the ground and say "Thats the line!"

An honest man. It doesn't matter if anyone would miss it or not, someone owns the property and anything on it, trash or treasure.

    Unused BUD Dish? Any value?

Thats how I took down a 12' unimesh on a 20' pole. We cut mostly threw with a sawsall (pole was not filled with cement) and left enough to hing in the direction we wanted it to go. Just be sure to throw a few ropes around the polar mount and have 3 or 4 guys lower the whole thing as another guy...
