I think universal lnbs are a no go with 4dtvs...

I must be nobody than... I just snagged a dsr 905... sure It was cheap (28 shipped) due to no power from a blown power supply. Swapped out with a dsr 405 power supply and it works great now!

As far as building new, Isn't there a licensing thing to get around with DC2 and or Motorola?? Plus I'm seeing lots of shaw boxes (dsr505hd and 530hd) on ebay. Can't those be issued / re purposed?

My dte7150 will show all zero's for the ACE ID number until it gets a DC2 Signal than it shows the same number that is printed on the bottom sticker.. Just send those 7 door stops my way!!!! LOL!

with my openbox I've been having drop outs on the vertical side of both c and ku ( two separate dishes and lnbf's)..... Ive been reading something to the effect that the voltage for vertical is to high causing the lnbf to flip over to horizontal The problem seems to worsen when the box is...

It's confirmed that h2h is a step up from dishnet and directv's equivalent channel....

using a dsr 922 with the built in positioner with works fine with hits, but It has to have x4 satellite (105w) in it... you could make it work one of two ways Master Reset or an auth reset... Master reset you will lose the maps that have been in the memery pre 1-4-2011... Id check out TVroPro...

You could put the 6 footer up and aim it at 105w x4 w5 and sub to H2h thru srl... 105w is very powerfull and doesn't require a super large dish. Then get a Gbox positioner; that would interface well with your openbox. Run the openbox / gbox setup with the 10 footer

If you look in the first picture and at the bottom of the screen that was where the problem lied... alt channel tuning is the one that is easy on servo motors! I don't remember doing that???? OPPPS!!!

thanks for the intel.... I'll have a look a at the "change dish settings menu" first... I'm running a lnbf so than it really doesnt matter!! LOL When I first got it ($50 @ radio shack last fall) I couldn't get it to change to 13 volts , always read 20 to lnbf.. which meant no vertical...
