    SES-3 Too "HOT" ???

Yeah, I will give SES a call and have them turn the power down so your reception will be perfect. Once they realize you are a SatelliteGuys member, they will be right on it!!!.

    SES-3 Too "HOT" ???

SES-3 is not "too hot" which is the dumbest thing I have ever read in the FTA forum. The satellite operator adjusts the power levels and keeps them in a level that is within their specs. You can't blame the satellite or the uplink facilities, it's obvious you have some equipment problems. Jeez...

    Still Watching C-Band!

Yeah it's certainly not like the old days, now those were fun!. C-band is still alive but as the technology changed so did the way to view it. Wish I had taken pictures of the old setups and equipment before I got rid of it. This was 25 years ago and now we are finding new ways to get c-band...

    AMC-8 on a microbud

Thanks for the info. Can't wait to get the dish and try it out. The only issue for me would be a LOS one due to the low look angle, but with the fall sun transients coming up I should be able to get confirmation of location. As for the post by richyrich, I am having a hard time understanding...

    AMC-8 on a microbud

Anyone try a 1.2meter mini-bud for AMC-8 @ 139º c-band?. I am in the upper midwest and trying for the MPEG-2 DVB-S radio feeds. Kind of limited on the size of the dish and 1.2-1.8 meter maybe my only hope. I plan to put this dish on a motor for other birds but would like to see is there is...

    Review: Tek2000 8' Mesh Dish

Looks good!. Lucky you to have that great view of the arc and for the price it's a nice setup. I saw one of the mesh bulges but that seems like it can be repaired. Maybe try a line amp out of the LNB for the long coax run?. The whole setup looks cool and congrats on getting it up and running!.

    HSN (C4-10) leaves analog

Agree, it's stupid but since the cable industry is subsidizing it who knows. I do wonder if the sat companies contribute funds or they pay per sub like ESPN, Weather Ch, etc...
