    Mini-Bud C/KU Lnb options

I can personally tell you that getting S2 Cband on a mini-bud is NOT impossible. I've been able to receive and view quite a few, but I think that comfrey may have something: location!! I've always been extremely happy with my mini-bud and pick up about 65% of the tps that I would like to...

    about Metro Tv from Ghana

I don't remember it being hard to lock at all. I've had my conical scaler ring this entire time and maybe physical location makes a difference. I had to move my dish over about 10 feet and that was just enough to lose 37.5W and 40W (was always blocked from 43W through 58W :( )

    about Metro Tv from Ghana

I use to get this channel with a 4 footer (66SQ) on my classic NA until I move my dish (damm tree in the way now :( ) You should have no issues with a 6 footer :)

    Ghana tv in C- band

you should have no problem. Before I moved my dish, I was able to hit this channel at about 66Q with a 4 foot dish. Your 6 footer in NJ should be blazing :) BTW.....If you are going to fix a dish at this sat, I'd advise that you put a C/KU lnb up. Telstar 11N launched this last month. If...

C-Band LNB for an offset view dish?

So...did they ship with a flat ring (as pictured on their website) or did you get a conical ring?

    Smallest dish for C-band reception?

What would you consider being a "hot" lnb? I am curious to know if I could peak out any better than the BSC621 I have now. To chime in on this thread.....4foot is the smallest IMO. You really get very little room to play with at this size (wind and rain can cause a difference)...

Roof Mount a 8 footer. Possible?

Anole....thats a slick dish :) I constantly check craigslist and classifieds in my area but no luck right now :( I'd love to see a comparision done. I just really think that offset Cband hasn't really been explored to great length. They exist, but you mainly see people using prime focus dishes.

Roof Mount a 8 footer. Possible?

Voom, Never did grab that dish. Since I was unable to find a solution for the mount, I gave up trying to get it. The seller also wouldn't part with the receiver w/o selling the dish (he felt that he'd never get rid of the dish if he didn't have the reciever to sell with it :) ). I'll have...

Can I get anything with a 40 inch dish?

Right now (this second; a little rain too), I can only get BBC world at 26Q which isn't good enough to watch. I've gotten higher before. In all honesty, 1.2m offset is the absolute smallest i'd go. A stationary 6 foot prime focus or higher should work fine. A 5 or 6 foot offset would...

Can I get anything with a 40 inch dish?

I have the same results that Qwert has: Occasional on the 1.2m. I wouldn't rule out the motor being off a little, so a fixed dish may give you a better, stable signal. I normally get 26-39 Q on my classic NA. 33 is enough to watch with occasional breakups when it dips below. I really think...

    Skyvision DSR410 x4package deals

....and if they use 4dtv maps, then the reciever either needs to be able to get C-band and can receive updates from G1, or they need a EPG 4dtv downlink on X4. If its just the HITS map, I am curious how this receiver responds to 4dtv DCII signals. What about HITS programming off of Cband...

    Skyvision DSR410 x4package deals

I take it that DSR410 doesn't do cband? If it does, can we get the guide from G15 and also add cband prog to the receiver. IF not, any plans on addind a EPG hit from X4 or another source?

Receiver settings for B1Sat Stack Lnbf

Those are all horizontal channels i believe. I don't think that 5150 is the right LBO. I think that there is a setting in between 5150 and 5170 that should get all of them (V and H) if they are anything like the fss lnbs I bet that if you rescaned using 5170 that you will get another...

Receiver settings for B1Sat Stack Lnbf

Might want to speak to Jerryt. I know he has been dealing with a lot of FSS KU bandstacked lnbs. I though that you had to change your reciever to a different lnb type. From what I've read, on the ku side, the verticals come in normal int he 11.7-12.2 range while the H come in on V but at the...

any one used C-band on offset dish with lnbf / my CM 1.2m project

I can say with experience that cutting the LNB doesn't work :) I wouldn't be supprised if Popcorn had to move the LNB further back to get the focal point correct

any one used C-band on offset dish with lnbf / my CM 1.2m project

G23 is extremly strong (the best for smaller dishes IMO). I get some channels at 70+ quality. Satmex has some channels too. IA9 is out of my line of site but I do remember getting some pretty good signals when i tested the dish out front (w/o the circular ring AND with a older lnb)...
