Alright guys, super bowl meals and plans! lets have them!

The key is to hold the Brats & Kraut for halftime. Otherwise I'll pound down so many, I can't enjoy all the other stuff. Self-control isn't one of my strengths. ;)

Ten Best NFL Teams of All Time

That's the first "best" list I've seen that picked the '79 Steelers team instead of the '78 team.

    Wave of Animal Cruelty Reported!

Vurbano lives in a tough area for a non-Steeler fan. The Hampton Roads area is similar to Charlotte - Steeler bars everywhere. We have Sports Bars (obviously with a preference for showing Panther games) and Steeler bars - one or the other.

Super Bowl XL Seahawks vs. Steelers

Did you notice that on Superbowl.com, the initial logo had the Steelers helmet on the right (where the home team should be) - then later moved it to the left? The left facing Steeler helmet has no logo, so it was just plain black.

NFL Network to show Thur/Sat Games

The league didn't back off that. Pulling the Saturday games from CBS & FOX to accomodate the late season Thurs/Sat package was known by all networks prior to the last contract extension. As far as the scheduling goes, come April, I bet we all find out that the NFL's PR guy wasn't in the loop.

NFL Network to show Thur/Sat Games

This is the quote from the original NY Times article:

NFL Network to show Thur/Sat Games

I'm not sure what the new contracts specify for networks "protecting" games. There used to be a clear process where CBS & FOX could protect one game, then MNF could pick a game, then they protect two more, then SNF gets to pick one.....or something like that. I'm not sure how the NFLN will fit...

NFL Network to show Thur/Sat Games

They've played since 1934 on Thanksgiving (minus WWII years) - can't change that now, it's tradition. Be thankful we get at least one year where we don't have to watch the Cowboys while we eat our turkey. By the time they're on, everyone will be back to their respective homes falling asleep. :)
  19. CPanther95

NFL Network to show Thur/Sat Games

Yeah, should be closer to 4 games. The other 4 games (maybe 2) will come from games that would have been broadcast nationally on Sat. by CBS and FOX and wouldn't have been on NFL ST anyway.

NFL Network to show Thur/Sat Games

It will be sooner. Dallas Morning News is in denial.

NFL Network to show Thur/Sat Games

It was an "unnamed" NFL source that stated that the Redskin/Cowboy game would be the first night game (Thanksgiving 2006).
  22. CPanther95

NFL Network to show Thur/Sat Games

Just the night game. There will still be two Thanksgiving day games available to everybody via the broadcast networks.
  23. CPanther95

NFL Network to show Thur/Sat Games

Cowboys were bumped to the night game on NFL Network. Reports are that the Lions will still be featured on Thanksgiving Day, but the other featured team (if they choose to have one) has not yet been announced.

NFL Network to show Thur/Sat Games

They should be in HD via NFL Network. Good news is the Cowboys are being bumped from Thanksgiving day. Maybe the Steelers will be the new Turkey Day team.
