    Pryor leaving OSU

And if the NFLPA can prove it, the NFL could be sued for collusion I would think.

He's Baaaaack. Tiger Woods to Play the Bridgestone Invitational in Akron, OH

Can't wait for him to putt the ball on one of the greens and someone yells from the gallery "Get in the Hole!" and Tiger turns around and asks him which one as Tiger glances at some of the various women in the front row of the gallery. ;) Highlight from the Senior Open last week -...

Its Official: VERSUS to become NBC Sports Network

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz........... figures it would be such a simple name that a 3-year old could name it. They should have named it "Not-ESPN Sports". Maybe you'd confuse enough people to watch it thinking it was ESPN 8 or something. I know one sports channel that will not be renamed -...

    Cam Newton Allegations

Is paying money to an escrow account not to be touched until Cam is out of college or in the NFL the same as paying a NCAA player when they are not allowed to be paid? I think the dad is involved just as a way to temporarily keep the money away from the kid so he doesn't lose NCAA eligibility...

    Colleg Football RED ZONE Channel

Interesting. I never looked into it because I assumed it was another espn3 situation (ream the internet providers in order to offer it to customers, regardless if the customers were willing to pay a sub fee if their internet provider doesn't have it).

    MLB.TV questions

MLB.TV Premium is $150 per season by the month or $120 by buying by the year. Only you can answer how significant that saving is to you if you were to do yearly rather than monthly. I also think you lose access to the archives at the end of the season rather than having access to them through...

    2010 Winter Olympics

no brainer! Monday, I watched the dog show and then caught the Primetime coverage in the overnight replay. I"m still trying to figure out what hour is missing from the replay since Primetime the other night was 4 hours and the replay 3 hours. I"m guessing a few fewer ads and probably cutting...

Is it possible to watch MLB.TV on a TV?

I think the Roku box is the only internet appliance (not counting PC or laptops) that can stream MLB.TV to a TV. I went the Roku route and love it! Definitely more reliable than my PC's screwy TV out port that sometimes worked and other times didn't.

    2010 Winter Olympics

I really doubt padding the poles would have helped. It's still a hard, immovable object even with padding -- just ask any MiLB/MLB'er and they'll say padding doesn't help prevent injury. What would have helped is netting along the channel edges to keep him in the channel - at least he would...

Baseball Hall of Fame welcomes the Hawk

wow, 1960 was the last year of no induction! That's quite an induction string to put together considering the standards are reasonably tough to get in.

Baseball Hall of Fame welcomes the Hawk

i like it. MLB doesn't cheapen the hall of fame like the NFL does. If this were the NFL, noone would have gotten the percentage number of votes needed so you take the top 4 votegetters - Dawson, Blyleven, Alomar and Morris. I wonder if MLB has ever had a year where nobody got the 75% of votes...

Baseball Hall of Fame welcomes the Hawk

He probably just needs a "penalty" year or two for the spitting incident. I'm confident he'll be in. If I were a voter, I wouldn't vote for him on first ballot (if that is what this year was for him). I"d definitely vote for him on all future ballots which he appears.

If the NFL were like college football...

I had an amazing moment of thought today about the NFL vs college football. I found a good way to rationalize how stupid the BCS system is and that a college football playoff is needed. See: If the NFL were like college football, the NFL would automatically make the Super Bowl the New Orleans...

I'm sure if he's missed, the yankees will throw money at him in 2011 to return because I believe Matsui only signed a one year pact with the Angels. Good to see the Yankees kicked Damon to the curb when Damon and Bore-us left an ultimatum deal on the table to return to the Yanks.

I think Eldrick wasn't dropped because he's insignificant to NIKE. If you poke around the CNBC website, I think you can probably find a story or a video clip that mirrors a segment that was on Closing Bell a day or two ago. Eldrick only appeared in like 4% of Nike's ads in 2009, meaning to me...

Holliday struggles in the AL so he's better off staying in the NL. Once he got traded to the cards last season, he had just as good of stats or better in the marquee categories in 63 games with the Cards (13-55-.353) than he did in 93 games in Oakland (11-54-.286).

here's what I'd like to see. John Lackey on the hill, Jeter steps up to the plate as the first batter of the season. Lackey buzzes a inside high fastball inches away from jeter's ugly mug for ball one. Lackey's next pitch is behind Jeter by a foot to the backstop and umps immediately toss...

It's not. Eldrick is always going to be a horn-dog. If a woman marries him, it's because she hopes she can ignore the infidelity and hang in long enough for the payoff. She'd have to have an IQ below 70 to think that Eldrick would be faithful to her. The time away from goif is Eldrick's PR...

Who's your choice for Sportsman of the Year?

I disagree with Jeter. There were other yankees ahead of Jeter if you're going to name a Yankee like Teixeira and Sabathia who led the Yankees to a world championship. Without them, Jeter may not have even sniffed the playoffs like the previous season. My favorite was Jimmie Johnson.
