Hey All,

I attempted to 'tune into' sat 25 (AMC21) using the following TP 12140 V 30000 but can't get higher than 69% Quality. Can't get anything on TP 12179 at all. I'm confident that the dish is plumb and aimed properly. Is this because the dish is too small for this sat? Thanks.

I think you need a bigger dish, 12140 has HD signals - they need a bigger dish and a HD receiver.

Wes, is probably right on your needing a larger dish. I've got a 30" and it wouldn't do the Hd stuff on PBS and some of their feeds. I ended up putting up an old 36" Primestar for PBS and the HD comes in good and solid... Blind

Hi, can you receive Montana PBS on TP 12105/v/4340?

It's plain DVB SD.

The TP 12140 V 30000 is used on several Sats across the sky, including 127 West.
Try Delta's suggestion, and if nothing, slowly rotate the Dish to the East.

I have a 4 feet and a half aimed into this sat. Everythiing come up ok. Montana PBS
12104 V 4340 3/4 70% strength and 30% quality is the lowest quality TP
PBS Org Feed , Create, V-Me 12180 V 30000 3/4 S77% Q45% Audio AC3
All others feeds SD7 etc at nights AC3 with similar numbers.
Lifetime TV No longer on AMC21 or at least I don't receive anything

I use a 30" dish on 125 here in MN with no issues on both HD or SD channels. I do have issues with LPB which is DVB-S2

The fact you said you are getting 12140 but not 12180 means you're probably on 127W. Both sats (127 & 125) have a 12140 transponder

Best thing to do is aim using the 12180 TP to lock the satellite. Then fine tune it using the 12140 TP :)

I use a DS2076 in Kentucky and I get everything except LPB and the Lifetime channel. OETA gets a little dodgy when the thick clouds come over, but overall I get very good signal on the small dish.
