Is there any way to use a D* dish that is disconnected, as a 2nd dish pointing @ 61.5 to receive E* programming.?

If its a 18" dish with no switches built in (like the phase iii does), yes you can. I think you can use the LNB, you would have to get a SW21 switch.

It should work for legacy stuff, but if you need to upgrade your LNBF to DishPro I don't believe the LNBF will fit.
