Even though I live in San Jose, Ca. my geographical location completely negates any OTA reception via antenna (my house is less than 100 yards away from (2) 800ft. hills). My question is whether or not Dish will supply me with an HD feed for my ABC shows or should i consider myself totally hosed (probably the latter)?

Just checked and found that Sacramento, Ca. has ABC-HD on Dish Local package via the same satellite, and wonder if Dish would transmit that to my package because of my limitation in receiving it OTA.

Why don't you just get SF locals from Dish??? KGO channel 7 in HD is part of SF locals. Is there some reason why you think you can't subscribe or receive them?

On E*'s site their search for local availability in San Jose only showed CBS, NBC, and FOX with HD denotations next to them, ABC was not listed as being in HD. They did list ABC as a digital broadcast though. Maybe they haven't updated their website to properly reflect what's actually available. BuddyBoy, do you live in the Bay Area and get ABC-HD through Dish's local channel package?

The second occurrance of KGO in their list is the HD version. It's labeled incorrectly, but if you click on it, you will see that it is KGO-HD. I guess you didn't notice that every other channel in the 64xx range was an HD channel?
