Acquiring Satellite Signal

About how long does it take the hopper to acquire the signal?

My installer came today. He checked the signal coming into the Hopper, getting good signal.

We have been stuck on acquiring satellite signal for about 30 minutes now. It says progress 5 of 5.

Mine was doing the same. In menu select factory restore, system will reboot in a couple minutes and mine worked like a champ (well having other issues but got it to authorize)

The tech is afraid if we do a factory restore it will go through this process again and lose the time we already have been waiting to acquire the signal.

Yes otherwise it will be a long day.

Noting saying this to be rude but search this hopper forum for factory restore it may help in making him press it.

OK, did a factory reset. We got the 833 screen (which we didn't before), now it sped through the 015 screen!
