I currently have 3 receivers. I am going to add a 4th since there's only 3 outputs on the dish what kind of a switch do I need to add a 4th? I have a Eastern Arc dish.

Not wanting to hijack the thread, but I have a similar question. I have a 622 & thinking about getting a 922, but keeping the 622 & putting it where one of my 311's is. Right now I have an old Super Dish that I use for 110 & 119 with a wing for 129. These 3 feed a DP34, with 2 separate lines feeding the satellite inputs of the 622, the other 2 feeding my 311's. I can't use the separators on the DP34, so I know that will have to be replaced with a DP44, but will my existing LNBs work with the DP44? Looking to get dual satellite inputs into the 2nd room...

Thanks,
Rob

You should be fine to use your current LNBs. The DPP44 is compatible with DP/DPP LNBs and switches, but is not compatible with legacy LNBF/switches. I'm unsure which LNBs you're using, but as long as they're DP/DPP you shouldn't have any problems.

If you are keeping your superdish for 110 and 119 and a wind dish for 129 thats fine because for it to work now it would have to be all dp equipment anyway. Since you have a dp 34 with 2 lines to the 622 the same setup willl be fine for the 922 w/o separators. Since you have one line to the 311 location then take the 4th output you are using for the 2nd 311 & have that run the 622. If you are keeping the 311 then just trunk another dp 34 to the 1st switch then one line to each 311 you are keeping. If you trunk the dp34's together make sure you run your ccable in loops not straight across so you dont have water issues on your connectors. Dp34 are less then a dp44. One last thought, if you are going to keep the 311 or both get a dp33 switch if you can. You can trunk the line out of the34 to the 33 but not the reverse. The dp33 will allow you to run one line to the 922 and one to the 622 using separators.

Regarding the E arc dish adding another receiver, yes a dp44 is the only way to do that but if you have line of sight for 129 & 119 110 then get 1000+ dish that requires a dp 44 switch because it also has 118.7 for internatiional if your want any international channels.

So, if I come out of the trunk lines (3) of the DP34 & go into the DP33, I can use a single line w/ separator to the 622, keep the existing line to the 311 that I'm keeping, and still use the 2 existing lines from the DP34 going to my 922 (old 622 location)?

Yup; I did this so I know it will work, with one caveat. If the DP34 is unpowered, there is no signal on the passthrough to the DPP33. If I were you, I'd put all the dual tuner receivers on the dpp33, and the single tuner receivers on the DP34. Unless you have any legacy single-tuner receivers...
