Adding new receiver, how much?

Just wondering if I add another hd receiver (no DVR) how much per month it will put me back... didnt know if it was $4 or $7 a month. Thanks

It's $6.00 per month for extra receivers.

btw, another hd-dvr is the same cost as a non dvr, as far as direct is concerned a reciever is a reciever

so go for the dvr and add whole home for $3 or $4 a month extra and profit

if your out of contract you may get the dvr for free, maybe even a genie

Does it cost anything extra to go over 6 receivers? I want to add a 7th? Just for fun I went to the online account to "activate" a new receiver ( even though I didn't have one) it says "Your account has six or more activated receivers. To activate additional receivers, please call 1-800-531-5000 for assistance."

It's the same price for each extra receiver/dvr, but it sounds like Directv is being proactive when the numbers start getting suspicious, or at least what they think is suspicious.
