This morning I had about 80 hours of programing on my 510.
Just turned it on this afternoon, and everything is gone.
All recordings are gone, and all timers are gone.
Most of the recordings were protected.

Everything on my 508 and 622 is fine.

Any ideas as to what happened here?

Also, I just noticed that I have no program guide.
I tried to force a program guide with no luck.

Long story short.
Called E*.
My hard drive has crashed.
They are sending me a replacement DVR.

No hard drive is a permanent storage that is why you backup computers. The closer you come to the limit of hard drive capacity the greater the chance your HD will be cleaned.

Since you posting, I assume you have a computer for it; then you know the drill - to preserve your valuable data you must have a backup.
The DVR or PVR are the computers with some specialized HW like a tuner and a card.
Actually many ppl in different companies and especially agencies using smart cards in theyr PCs;
many of enthusiasts have Home PC Theaters with receiver's PCI/USB cards.
This mass injection of DVRs came on fertilized soil - ppl have much more PCs now, then PVRs.
If you worried about your data or recordings, you must be prepare for disaster.
Make BACKUP in advance.

Smith, that's definitely a good idea, unfortunately Dish gives us few options as to how to make that backup. Only really techie inclined can figure it out.
