Alternative to "subscribe" ??

One of my favorite sites, DSL Reports, has a "Posts" page that lists all threads you've participated in. It has breakdowns for "updated" threads, "followed", "your topics" (ones you start), and so on. The most useful of these, IMO, is the "updated" one.

Does this forum software have a similar option besides "Subscribe" ??

No unfortunately there is nothing like that that I know of. I will look around at the vBulletin hacks site to see if there is anything like that we could possibly add.
