Menu 6, 1, 1 Then change the satellite and transponder to which one you want to look at.

If your refering to the signal strength, I am getting 92 right now, but a few of the other tps are in the 60's.

It's not always like that. Most of the time the readings are closer to yours. 119 reads 111, and 110 reads 94 on TP11. On 129 TP11 is more around 75.

Must have just re-aligned the bird....

Yeah, and I wish the signal were like this on TP11, 22, 23 and 27 like this, where most of the HD channels are. But don't you think it's actually pretty good for a D1000? Others struggle to get these numbers with bigger dedicated dishes.

Sometimes I get 87 on TP 31 while all other TPs are in the mid 60s and 70s. I have a D500 with a DP Twin for 119 and 129. You're doing great with a D1000.

I installed a 24'' dish for 129 at a friend's house and we were getting 100 on TP 31. TP 31 is definitely the highest TP on 129.

How do you do 119 and 129 on a 500 with a twin?

Just aim at 119 with the 110 eye and 129 will fall into place. Since they're both at almost the same elevation, I set the skew to 90. On the second D500, I have 110 and 101 (for Directv). I have an HD Directv receiver that I use for OTA but it needs to see the signal to pull the guide.

I have a Dish 1000 and DP44 switch. Don't know the lnb type. I am getting 81 as in the screen capture. On 11,22,23,27 I am getting 51. On 110 ,119, and 148 I do much better. For 148 tp 13 the CBS HD position I am getting 90. I get just a little better 93 for my locals on 148. On 119 HBO I get 97. On 110 9422 I get 82. I am in West Texas.

Miner - Who did your install in Silverdale? I'm on Bainbridge Island and have held off upgrading to metallic because of the 129 stength issues. It sounds like that 24" of yours is the ticked.

Thanks,
Bill

Ralfyguy, bx14, and DNC,

The dish is Winegard and the LNB is Dish Pro, marked LN. My installer was the DNSC fellas out of Bremerton. I already had a Dish 500 (with the I bracket) for 129 and would get some drop outs on the MonstersHD. I haven't had any since the upgrade. The 24" isn't that much larger than a standard 500. It sits a bit higher but I have both side by side on my roof. It's worth it to be drop out free! I've attached a photo of the 2 dishes and a closeup of the LNB.

Miner, what is your signal on TP 01, 11, 17, 22, 23, 27 ? Sorry for the bother, but I don't get 91 on TP31 with pouring rain. It's more like 70's then, and TP11, 22, 23 and 27 are starting to cut out then.
