AMC 15@ 105°W

Using the transponder that I got from here, I tried a few hours this past Saturday to lock on AMC 15 @ 105°W with this parameters (12175 H 17780 — data transponder) but no joy. Can anyone with a lock on AMC 15 @105°W, confirm if this transponder is still active? If not active, could you list an active transponder?

I recently moved one of my 1.0m Primestars from G18, to AMC15
since it's a great bird for feeds. :up

I've had the best luck with a TV at the Dish after sunset.

I just reaimed my Primestar dish to 105W and used that TP...nice strong signal (75 quality on the Pansat 1500)

I nailed it within 15 minutes!! I think my problem was because; I had 101°W at the center with excellent Qs (80s to 99) and 105°W at off-center. Then last evening, I made 105° my center and viola!! (Btw, for 12175 H 17780, Viewsat Ultra registers a 36 to 38 Q and Coolsat 5000, has a Q of 67 or there about.) Now, since I have 105°W at the center and 101°W as an off-centert, I lost Q on transponders 11708V & 12120V, but all the Horizontal transponders were between 47 to 75 Q. On inverting (upside down) the AMC 4 LNB I get about a 15 to 20 Q on the 2 V transponders, but this reduces the Q on AMC 15 @ 105°W, because it edges towards the face of the LNB @ 105°W. Anyway, it was getting too dark, the mosquitoes were beginning to feast on me and signs of rain was getting strong, so I took out the offset at 101°W and left the LNB at 105°W and called it a night. BTW, a blind scan on 105°W revealed quite a few suprises?

Oh yeah, and the further we get towards fall, the better surprises there will be on AMC-15! I usually blind scan this bird every day. :up
