I had my Voom install yesterday. The installer was very good. That's always a mixed bag and I feel very lucky. The first problem was tree cover. Just not enough of a window to get a clear LOS. Anyway, a call to my local arborist and had the tree topped and now I have 45% signal strength. My initial reaction is that I like all the HD content but I miss my D**h PVR. It had really cool menus, program search, pause, auto switching, Caller ID to name a few. I understand that the Voom receiver is a first generation and should improve with time. Hopefully, some of these features are around the corner.

This is a great site. I belong to another forum that is home theater based but it is limited when it comes to satellite systems.
