Hey everybody - its been about 12-15 months since I've had DirecTV and these might be old common questions but I didn't them when I searched.

I have a new 5lnb setup - when you navigate to the signal strength screen:

- what are the sats with an (s) I assume they are spot beams maybe I have zero signal on any of them
- what Sat is SWiM (I know that is what direcTV calls its new routing 'switch' but why would it get a signal page and what transponders is it aimed at - most of them are 95-100
- knock on wood it seems rain fade is less of an issue, in a good day most of my levels are in the mid 90's (a few in the high 80's and a good amount are at 100; on a bad rain storm a week ago most were in the low 80's and some in the 90's

Just curious

Yes, the s stands for spotbeam. I have no idea why they have separate swm numbers. Rain fade is usually good, like you noted.
