Just found a DSR550 STB and want to use it for OTA signals. Of course I cannot find the remote. It does have a card in it. Can someone please answer the following questions:
1. Can I use the STB without the remote?
2. How do I get to the help menu to find the software version without the remote?
3. How do I check to see if the STB has been activated and I can use it for OTA signals?
4. When do I determine if it is a piece of junk and throw it away?
