I have a direct ethernet connection connected to the Hopper. I am able to access all the on demand features on the Hopper and Joeys. Any benefit of putting in a HIC instead?

So if I read that correctly, the only benefit of using a HIC is DLNA?

pretty much for 1 hopper systems. Also adds some flexibility in install. Might make your system a little more futureproof if you add equipment. For whatever reason, HIC also seems to be more reliable than direct connecting (anecdotally) until some bugs are worked out.

If you have direct Ethernet to all Hoppers, the only benefit the HIC gives is DLNA for the Joeys.

The Internet connection would run over your Dish coaxial cable connected to your Hopper/Hoppers & Joeys right from your HIC,correct(I'm using as a comparison D*'s DECA set up)?

Considering DISH but have Questions
