It has been a while since my last post, but today i saw a C-KU combo lnb BSC621 C band and KU band LNBF 4DTV

I have a 1.2m motorized dish and a couple fortec receivers (lifetime ultra and classic)

Should I look into getting one of these lnbs? they are farely cheap.

Thanks.

Are you thinking of using this with your 4DTV or with the 1.2 meter setup? If I remember correctly, the Ku lnb for this model is a universal type and not a standard, which means it won't work with the 4DTV. However, the GeoSatPro C/Ku lnbf has a standard lnb for the Ku. SatelliteAV carries these. I've got one and have been thinking of putting this onto my big dish just to try it out.

If you're looking at trying it out on your 1.2 meter setup, it can be fun. I've had mixed success with receiving some C band with the 1.2. I also had to modify the scalar ring so it could mount properly on the dish. Actually, I was able to get the Nasa mux on AMC6.

they have a new model out which i have that can be used with 4dtv
The all new BSC621 C/Ku LNBF is now in stock. This LNBF works can work with any receiver that provides voltage switching for polarity control, including 4DTV. Please note, the BSC621-2 is universal Ku and cannot work with 4DTV because the receiver does not have universal switching abilities. If you own a 4DTV make sure your order the BSC621.

i do have one but i don't have it hooked up yet. looks now like a warm weather project
