Funny title heading. Yesterday on Tuesday 11-7 I found out some damaged my van out in the parking lot. My backwards neighbors decided to fight with each other. My front fender was pushed in and my mirror was moved out of placed. This is another reason why you should get a CCTV for your place. My neighbors decided to duke it out in the parking lot in front of the parking lot camera. Video coming soon. I can't stand when you can't have anything nice at your home because of neighbors that do stupid stuff like this.

I have twelve cameras up. My neighbors, when I have them, are lots of entertainment. But I'm mostly interested in the animals running around. But there is one thing that amazes me. The house across the alley is now an AirBnB. There are four garbage cans in the alley against the back of the house. People go through quite a decision making process when throwing a bag of trash out. Most people remove the lids and look in every can before selecting the one for their trash. I watched one guy back out of the driveway and head out then changed his mind and backed up. Got out of the car and opened the trunk. He pulled a bag of trash out and looked in all the trash cans and changed his mind, put the bag back in the trunk and drove off. I couldn't stand it. I had to see what was in those trash cans. Two were empty, one had a small plastic bag at the bottom and one was almost full of leaves. Huhh WTF??

I'd assume there are four cans for a reason and look through to see which was for regular garbage vs cans/bottles vs plastics etc.

I'm always confused in Las Vegas where there is just one bin in the casinos. It always makes me look around for the recycling one if I'm throwing away a bottle or something. There never is a recycling one.

Nope,no mandatory recycling here, just garbage. There is a volunteer program for recycling, "Blue Bag It" and that is separated from the regular trash. There is also a tank on the truck that I can pour my waste oil into for recycling. I collect my waste oil in a five gallon gear lube bucket and dump it when it's full. They used to pay for cardboard and take glass but it costs too much to ship and there are no facilities to use the stuff close by.

Unless the cans are marked, the assumption should be that they're all garbage cans.

More than a few jurisdictions participate in what is called co-mingling. They hire people to sort the garbage rather than having them dump garbage in the wrong can and having to re-sort it anyway.

You may recall that China decided to stop recycling our plastics because we weren't doing a good enough job of sorting them out.
