I've had a Cox SOHO account for 11 years, and for most of that time it cost me $79/mo for a static IP and no blocked ports. Last year they finally jacked up the price $5/mo. 
This year while I wasn't looking, it went up $10/mo!
Back when the price was static, I had no other option since DSL was unavailable. Now that FIOS has come to the neighborhood, I do have an alternative. Is Verizon any better?
