Dabl

Another question here they just signed a deal for metv in fort Wayne they better for this channel.

33.5 is start tv here in fort Wayne why are they taking away start tv after 4 months.
This is the lament of many subchannels. Most have no real anchor programming so few miss them when they're gone. More variety is better but more channels does not necessarily equate to more variety. I'm also baffled by these markets that carry the same channel on different stations.

As the repack progresses and preparations are made for implementing Next Gen TV, expect to see more of this happening.

I think any station that is trying to poke out more than five channels is running into diminishing returns based on poor picture quality.

KSMO is adding Dabl as a .3 subchannel. That means the end of our highest bitrate channel in this area. Right now they're pushing 16 mbps on their .1 feed-

Would say something about Light TV on 61.2 only that it's just OTA and not Cable Channel and if DABL were on KMBC/KCWE might have something to say.

Lots of errors on the DABL website. DABL will be on channel 4.4 in Tucson, not 14.4, and will be on channel 5.3 in Phoenix, not 4.3, which doesn't exist in the Phoenix market.

Yes indeed. I've only made a partial update to RabbitEars because so much of the data is so unreliable that in some cases I cannot be sure it is correct.

KLUZ-DT as usual being lazy to add DABL TV Network in Albuquerque's TV market.

Just like the last time was past couple of months late by adding Quest TV network.

The network DABL premiered Sept. 9th. That doesn't mean affiliates start airing it then. Each station has its own contractual obligations and will begin airing DABL when conditions warrant.

We're still waiting in Phoenix as well, but I don't really expect DABL soon. KPHO-TV was announced as an affiliate only about a week ago.

I wish we could get movies, this tv and rev'n tv. Action, comet, quest. How do they sign on to broadcast subs? Does the tv stations go after the subs or is it the other way around?

Just remember that most every channel will suffer a loss of quality with each sub-channel added (on a station-by-station basis).

This isn't like regular greed where getting something means getting all of it. With subchannels, getting something involves losing some of what you had before.
