Somewhere in all my pre-purchase questions I was told (or I think I was) that using the directv2pc application on a computer doesn't count in the limit of only one DVR'ed programming streaming from an HR24.
Tonight I am watching a hockey game live on the living room DVR. My son is in his room using directv2pc to watch a recorded movie off the living room DVR. My wife is in the bedroom watching TV and if she goes to the DVR list, all of the living room recordings have a red dot with a white dash in the middle at the beginning of the line listing the show. If my son stops watching his movie, the red dots disappear and she can then watch something in the bedroom that was recorded on the living room DVR.
So apparently the directv2pc application *does* count as a stream from a DVR.
It's still a nice addition to the ways we can use MRV as long as we know the system's limitations.
Oh and by the way, the picture when using directv2pc is extremely good.
