I have a Dish 1000 (Twin LNBF and Dual LNBF) connected to two DVR receivers (VIP 622 and 625). Both receivers are connected to second TV and thus I have 4 TV connected. I want to add a third 311 receiver to a 5th TV. Do I need a 44 switch? Check switch shows 119, 110 and 129 as being all connected and good signals.

Probably yes. What does Menu 6-1-3 say on the devices line?

You have several options:

1) Get a new 1000.2 dish and install it.
2) Get a DPP44 switch.
3) Get a DPP33 switch.

Whatever is cheaper for you. The Twin LNB is probably a DPP Twin and I keep reading about not connecting DPP Twin LNBs with switches. To be safe you may want to replace the DPP Twin with a DP Twin if you go the switch route.

To use the switches the proplus twin lnb needs to be replaced as Randall said. Either with non-plus twin or 2 duals. (Dishpro)

Probably best to upgrade that dinky 1000 dish to a 1000.2. The switch is built-in for 3 receivers and the only cabling needed is the additional drop from the dish to the added receiver. You'll have less rain-fade and the total cost may be the same or less.

My Dish 1000 came with a DPtwin and a DP dual but it was installed in February 2006.
