I have an install date later this month for the VIP 622, and was told by the CSR that Dish would also be installing a Dish 1000 antenna. I am in the Wash, DC area and my current setup, about 4 years old, is two Dish 500 antennas (one pointed at 61.5), three single LNBFs, and a DP 34 switch. My receivers include a 942 (2 separate cable runs available all the way to the receiver), a 510 and a 508. Do I need a new antenna, and which version of Dish 1000 should I expect to get. Thanks.

don't expect the 1000.2 it won't be available for a while. you don't need the 1000 at all unless you want it. if you are swapping the 942 for the 622 you can keep the same setup all together just install the 622 you don't even need a tech to come out. if you keep it you need a 44 switch or trunk two 34's and run two lines to the 622 also. make sense?
