DISH Fights for a Fair Deal, Tegna Prioritizes Greed above Consumers

KLFY Channel 10.1 CBS Lafayette, LA. No guide data since I started with Dish about 20 months ago. Dr. Dish (Dish tech support) says there is nothing they can do about it.

Hi! Can you please send me your DISH account number in a private message? Thanks!

Anyone know if Dish and Tegna are even still negotiating?

Here in the Houston DMA, the local CBS station KHOU 11 is involved in this dispute. I can't get reception of 11.1 (which is the channel Dish provides the guide data for), but they mirror the main CBS channel on 11.11 which I can get for some reason (maybe it comes from a repeater?). It would be nice if Dish would mirror the guide data from the main CBS channel to 11.11 for those who can't receive 11.1. Currently we just get 1 hour blocks labeled as "KHOU-H".

Also a Houston DMA-er(?). It’s not a reception issue, I used to get 11.1 before (can’t remember how long ago but it was before the dispute) and noticed it’s gone and replaced by 11.11 for some reason, dunno if they are having problems or if your theory of a repeater is correct and they lowerred the main transmitter’s power for some reason?

Mind sharing you’re approximate location relative to the towers? I’m about 40 miles SW of Sugar Land and using an outdoor antenna.

I'm in northeast Houston near Bush airport. I can get 11.1, but it's weak and pixelated whereas I get a strong signal from 11.11 (confirmed by the signal meter on the Hopper when I was setting up with the OTA dongle). I don't have a formal theory about why, it just is.

Welp, whatever the reason I guess we can just see if Dish can mirror the KHOU 11.1 guide to 11.11 as well, and to the Dish employee, I can second the fact that 11.11 is the local CBS station and 11.1 is in my case completely out of range.

Good luck with that. My Fox channel 4.1 moved to 6.3 almost a year ago and the guide data is still on 4.1. No guide data at all on 6.3.

I've contacted DISH half a dozen times. Each time I'm told that they will forward to the Engineering Dept. and it will be taken care of. NOT.

Beaumont/ Pt. Arthur Tx right? I have been bitching about that since they moved it. My Dad keeps trying to watch Fox shows listed in the guide on what is now DABLE channel (- home decorating channel with old programs from last decade.) I've been trying to get him to use the Sling guide with my Sling account, since it is correct on all channels and sub channels and he doesn't like using online apps. He's 82 and he is still trying to channel surf using his satellite remote control and wonders why he can't and He's had satellite tv since the 90s.
