i dont know what its called, but i have a dish reciever that runs 2 tvs, and has dvr. anyway, my problem is the 2 satellite cords that plug into the reciever wont connect to the sat, so to run both tvs, i have to plug a sat cord directly into the tv 2 slot, now i havent got in the up top to check the swicth connection, but im certinaly not gonna pay 90$ to have some guy come look at it, if anybody has had this problem, or can help please email me

i can recieve 110 and 119 on one cord, but the other only gets 110 i believe, i feel as though the cord is the problem.

Are you leasing the 522? If you are call DISH to come out and service their property or you will cancel. Bet they won't charge you $99.00.

Did you buy the receiver and trying to hook it up yourself or was a professional supposed to have installed it? It should have been installed corrently to begin with if the installer came there and put it in.

It could be a bad cable, a bad lnbf port, a bad ground junction, a bad connection, a bad wall plate, a bad receiver, or low signal, if you dont know anything about satellite and cable then its best to have someone come out that does to avoid causing further damage. If however you feel that you can do it yourself then start by making sure the signal is atleast %80 from the satellites, after this take that good line and move it to the other sat port and see what you get, if the problem stays on the same port then its your receiver, if not then work your way back through that line checking each conection point making sure that your center conductor hasnt been corrupted by corrosion or that any of the shielding isnt making contact with it as this will short out the cirtcuit. If all is good then your next step is to check the lnbf on the dish by crossing the cables there, if after running a new check switch the problem changes locations then your down to either a bad cable or a bad switch, if the problem stays then your looking at your receiver. If the problem has jumped to the other side then run a dumby line to replace the line in question and this should tell you if the coax was bad. Im betting on the lnbf though.
