Yesterday the Dish Network folks installed a HD 811 receiver in my home that is connected to a Mitsubishi 65-711. The 811 unit is connect to the 65-711 HDTV via component video connectors (Y Pr Pb) and the 65-711 device input is configured to component video inputs. When the tech reconfigured the 811 video out signal from 480P to 1080I, the picture becamed scrambled. My over the air HD signal that I have connect to the set seperately works fine. Does anyone know if there is a problem with the Mitsubishi or 811 that would be causing this issue?

I have a Mits 55 Rear Proj. hdtv and have to go to video menu and setup 780p or 1080i, maybe this is your problem..

Hi and welcome.

Check your inputs on the back. There are 3 sets of component 2 (480i, 480p), and 1 HDTV (720p, 1080i). If you are looking at the back of the TV at the component inputs, make sure they are plugged into the right side inputs that say "DTV"

Thanks everyone for your responses. Teachsac nailed it. The tech had the cables pluged into the 480p inputs. I moved the cables to the DTV1080i inputs and everything is sweet. Thx again.
