I am new to this board and found the following review:

The review is dated Nov 2003. I am considering upgrading my 2 current receivers to the DVR 522. In the review, there is a lot of things that the person wanted the DVR 522 to have, but it doesn't. These were many of the features I want also. I know that Dish just announced that single mode software upgrades have started to be sent so that isn't an issue. But what about the other items the reviewer has listed. Should I wait for a new release of this unit? Are there plans to add those or some of those features into this receiver? Any other info or current reviews you can point me to?
