Does UHF Pro remotes work with 501 receivers?

I don't know about the 8.0 UHF PRO remotes, but besides using a 6.2/6.3 with the Black Tab instead of the Blue Tab with the 2 on it, the AUX button can be programmed to control Dish receivers using IR and UHF (if you need the remote for another receiver).

If that helps, you program the AUX button for a Dish receiver as follows:
- Display the SYSTEM INFO screen
- Hold AUX button until all mode buttons light up, let go, then AUX flashed
- Press 3 button
- Press receiver's remote address, such as 1, or maybe 12
- Press POUND (#)
- AYX blinks 3 times
- Press RECORD to make sure the address for the remote and receiver matches

You can buy a UHF Pro upgrade kit which will allow any satellite receiver to accept UHF Pro signals from the UHF Pro remotes. The 6.2 remotes come with extra tabs as stated above to get it to work with the UHF legacy receivers.
