Dp301 reciever

I have a DP301 reciever that was given to me from a ex Dish network subscriber. I am not sure the card is any good though. Its a orangish yellow with blue/purple border on three sides.

Should i attempt to contact dish and go through the activation of the old reciever or just order it from them and be done with it?

Yellow card are being phased out, you still have a couple of months, I would try activating it and let Dish send you a new card.

yeah the card you need is a G3 card... It is Purple and black with the DISH logo in the center.
