DPP44 question

Yesterday "cleaned up" from my recent upgrade on my Dish equipment. I had moved my TV to another side of the room before the install so I had the installer run a cable to that side instead having cables ran acroos the floor. Only thing was he also hooked up the 2 existing cables from my 500 Quad to the DPP44 also. But like I said, I cleaned up things yesterday, removed all uneeded cables, the 500Quad, my OTA antenna, and even a DirecWay dish. My question is this, should I put some kind of cap on the terminals that I removed the 2 canles from? They are on the bottom side of the switch but I would guess moisture would still get in over time. I thought once about just cutting the cable but decided against it.

Plastic F-conn caps are easy to come by. In fact, they come with the switches.
