Has any "current" customer been able to order this? I tried but all I got was the run around, finally just gave up. Any suggestions or links? One finalay question.......it does record hd content doesn't it?

I ordered it for my In-Laws yesterday on dtvpal.com. It won't ship until Dec. 17th at the earliest or soon at the latest.

I gave up waiting for the stupid thing to hit the market.
 
I ordered mine. I had to put my work address as shipping address, and my wife's name on it to get it through. How stupid...
 
I ordered it via telephone today. Wouldn't let me do it online. Took longer than usual because the person sounded like she was in India.
