And most if not all the "Over"s were produced and broadcast on our local PBS station, KCTS, ch. 9 and broadcast and broadcast and...well, you get the idea. This from the early days of HDTV.

Still enjoying HDTV via OTAs and VOOM under cloudy (sun promiesed?!) Seattle skies, Gill

Hi Gill, the European series or the American ones?

I find them quite different; the European versions have a hypnotic quality to them, with a strong zoom, long shots, and a slow-flying helicopter to let us see what's hapenning on the ground. It's great to see an Italian motorscooter whiz through a public square, or a pedestrian try to negotiate a traffic circle in England.

The American ones I've seen on Equator cut too quickly and fly way too fast.

Whoops, should have made that clear. I was referring to the North American Overs which seem more poetic (?) and I don't much like the commentator. The European Overs are VOOM exclusives and show a more professional touch which we find more enjoyable.

However, watching a movie on Starz 262 at the moment under clear Seattle skies, Gill
